About The Company

Get the ins and outs

Veganz, a german country that was established in 2011 is one of the leading brands for plant-based food which has over 160 plant-based products including alternatives to meat, fish, cheese, sweets, snacks as well as frozen food such as pizza. Their products are available at over 22,000 points of sale around the world. Veganz wants to raise awareness for animals, the people, and the environment where no one is harmed. Transparency is a very important concept for Veganz; the company has introduced a sustainability score with the Swiss Institute Eaternity where every specific product is rated and further information regarding water usage, CO2 emissions, rainforest, and animal protection can be found on their website and on the package itself of each particular product.

“Motivating people to adopt a plant-based lifestyle as well acting more responsibly towards our environment, thereby creating a sustainable future for all living beings on the planet.”

Analyze their supply chain: from the sourcing of raw materials to the people who make the product

Some of the raw materials come from India, others from Europe (Germany, Spain, Italy, among others).

The majority of their products originate from Europe such as Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, France, Greece, Poland, and Italy.

However, other products are made outside of Europe like Sri Lanka.

Veganz Honey 250g = EUR 4.99

Veganz Cheese 200g = EUR 2.49

Veganz smoked salmon 100g = EUR 4.99

Veganz has over 150 products in the market. Below you will find some examples:

A Veganz plant-based cheese only produces a total of 576g of CO2 per pack, less than a quarter compared to conventional cheese.

A pack of Veganz biscuits produces 851g CO2. By relying on vegan ingredients, it helps reduce greenhouse emissions compared to sweets with animal ingredients such as milk chocolate.

Veganz crispy nuggets cause 586g of CO2.

In most of their product pages you can find their sustainability score with its CO2 foorprint.

Some of the products are produced in factories that use only renewable energies. This varies from product to product

A Veganz plant-based cheese uses 920 liters of water for its creation. Veganz believes this number can be reduced and is looking to improve in the future.

A pack of Veganz biscuits only uses 11 liters of water, making a sustainable contribution to reducing the global water footprint compared to non-organic products of the same range

Veganz crispy nuggets use 10 liters of water.

In most of their product pages you can find their sustainability score with its water consumption.

Being a company that produces just vegan products, Veganz uses alternatives to protect the animals and hence no animals are harmed.
