Saye only sources materials from European suppliers. The proximity of their manufacturing suppliers allows them to create an efficient network that reduces the carbon footprint. Moreover, another example of their efforts in reducing their carbon footprint is to use ecological yarns and natural dyes in the manufacturing process of their clothing.
By end of 2022, over 280,000 trees were planted, trapping thousands of carbon tons per year. This has occurred in Zambia, India, Australia, and the Amazon.

Part of the materials that SAYE uses in the manufacturing process of their sneakers are recycled materials such as Polyurethane PU leftovers from European automotive factories that otherwise would be thrown away. Moreover, thermoplastic leftover plates are also used, along with wood chips recovered from the carpentry industry, avoiding this way that further waste ends up in landfills and oceans. They use other alternative materials that aim to reduce waste, such as post-consumer plastic, as well as discarded fruit and vegetables.
From November 2021, Saye has announced that, along with Gravity Wave, they will be collecting 1Kg of plastic for every pair of sneakers sold.
No toxic materials, including pesticides, herbicides, and fertilisers, are present in the manufacturing process of SAYE.
Since the beginning, SAYE has partnered with suppliers that respect their workers, improve their living conditions, and provide them with a good working environment. This includes having high standards of ethics, fair wages, shifts, and gender equality.
