About The Company

Get the ins and outs

Narah Soleigh was founded in 2019 to battle fast fashion by creating sustainable & modern inspired swimwear and apparel. Items are designed to be simple and timeless, using organic & recycled materials wherever possible. Their production is small-scale, avoiding mass production. Their ethos evolves around redefining the values of fashion – how it’s made, consumed, worn and treasured. Narah Soleigh’s swimwear and garments are produced in small socially responsible factories in northern Portugal, where almost 100% of the energy is generated by the factories’ own solar panels.

“To contribute to a healthy and happy future on this planet through redefining the values of fashion”

  • Carbon Neutral shipping
  • Use more sustainable materials that do not rely on synthetics for elasticity

Narah Soleigh ships 100% carbon neutral, by offsetting these emissions through investing in e.g. reforestation and biodiversity initiatives.

Moreover, the materials that they use typically emit less carbon than traditional materials, such as organic cotton, LENZING™ ECOVERO™ (50% less emissions than traditional viscose), as well as the recycled materials that are used.

Nearly 100% of the energy needed for the production of their swimwear is generated by the factories’ own solar panels.

By using ECONYL as opposed to virgin nylon, Narah Soleigh saves water and nitrous oxide emissions. Products containing organic cotton use less water compared to conventional cotton, as 80% of their water is rain-fed. Similarly, LENZING™ ECOVERO™ uses less water than traditional viscose.

Organic cotton is used, which uses less greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional cotton.

Narah Soleigh sees waste as a design flow, and therefore aims to use every bit of material. As such, they turn fabric scraps to hand-made scrunchies. The regenerated nylon they use comes from rescued waste products, cleaning up our oceans and landfills from non-biodegredable materials (including nylon).

Moreover, Narah Soleigh implements slow fashion practises, meaning that they start with the production of small batches and only increase production when there is demand, avoiding waste.

Packaging and handtags are plastic-free and made from recycled cardboard, and designed to be very light to reduce the environmental impact of shipping. They further reduce the waste caused by shipping by allowing the costumer’s option to choose a previously used shipping box when ordering online.

Lastly, they provide detailed garment care instructions on their website to make sure your items last a long time.

The production of organic cotton does not use pesticides, insecticides or fertilisers. The ink used is water-based.

Narah Soleigh’s producers are located in northern Portugal, in a small socially responsible factory.
