About The Company

Get the ins and outs

Zonnepanelen delen is a platform founded in 2014 where you can invest in new solar panels for local projects. This way, you can help the energy transition to renewable resources and benefit of the return rates, even if you don’t have enough space or abilities to install solar panels on your own roof – or simply because you want to invest in green energy. You can track the energy generated in a particular project on the website and through the app. NB: investing is not risk-free.

“Together with all investors, they want to capture solar energy and build a virtual solar energy centre.”

Over 100 million euro’s have been invested by more than 10,000 investors, generating over 1.7 billion kWh (anno 2024)!

One ‘Zonnedeel’ can be bought from a minimum of 25 euro’s and you can get as many as you like. The expected annual internal rate of return varies between 3-4%, depending on the project. The factors that affect the output depend on the market price of energy, as well as how much energy is produced. Returns are paid annually and you get higher returns when you are a costumer with collaborating energy providers.

Over 560 million kg of CO2 emissions have been saved by 2024 by using renewable energy instead.

The sun provides us with more energy within one day than we use globally in a year. By capturing this renewable energy source, and making this available to everyone, the sustainable energy transition is promoted.

Even though it takes energy to produce and install the solar panels, this energy is gained back within 2,5 years after employment.

Only panels that are not placed on a slope need regular cleaning.

Depending on the project, extra care is given to preserve the biodiversity around the park. For example, for the project Zonnepark de Maakermat, they will seed flowers and herbs and around the solar panels to facilitate biodiversity, and existing trees and plants will remain there.

The panels last for around 25-30 year in general.
