Does this brand offset carbon emissions and/or implement circular business practices?

They offset carbon created during shipping (from factory to consumer) and they use circular practises in their business by re-using sugarcane byproducts for their towels that would otherwise go to waste.

About The Company

Get the ins and outs

Who gives a crap is a toilet paper company that was founded to increase water accessibility, sanitation and hygiene worldwide, by ensuring access to toilets and clean water for the billions of people in need (about 40% of the global population!). Their toilet paper therefore not only aims to reduce the environmental impact of toilet paper, by using materials such as recycled paper and bamboo, but above all save lives in the developing world. They donate 50% of their profits, and partner with organisations, communities, governments, businesses and consumers to reach their goals, which stretch far beyond toilets.

Ensure everyone has access to clean water and a toilet by 2050.

  • Donated over 13 million AUD (equivalent to 8 million EUR)
  • Removed plastic inserts at the top of their tissue boxes that are needed to keep the tissue moisture free and hygienic
  • Supermarket 6-packs were transitioned from oxo-biodegradable plastic to paper wrapping
  • Be 100% plastic-free, right now plastic is only found in packing tape
  • Use renewable energy in several parts of their supply chain
  • Change the delivery process to minimise carbon emissions
