Founded in 2019 in Germany, Releaf condoms offer safe sex while giving back to the environment. Made from natural latex and free of animal products, these premium condoms come with a unique promise: for every condom purchased, they plant a tree. This initiative helps combat climate change and promotes sustainable practices. So, with Releaf, you can enjoy intimacy while making a positive environmental impact.
“To enable you to make a small contribution to climate protection without having to worry and with maximum joy.”

Releaf plants one tree for every condom sold mainly in Madagascar, Mozambique and Kenya. On average, each mangrove planted removes around 308kg of CO2 from the atmosphere over a period of around 25 years; an average of ~12.3kg of CO2 per year. An initial estimate of Releaf carbon footprint comes to the conclusion that a maximum of 10-20g (grams, not kilograms!) of CO2 is emitted per condom. This means that after two years at the latest, each of their condoms is CO2 negative by an estimated factor of >1000.
By Q2 2024, Releaf has donated over 900.000 trees.
