About The Company

MOYU, a manufacturer of notebooks, was founded in 2018 in the Netherlands. They are on a mission to fight deforestation and single-use paper, by offering an alternative to pulp paper products. These books are made from 100% erasable and recyclable stone paper.

To fight single use paper to save forests and create new ecosystems.

MOYU has planted over 208,500 trees by the first quarter of 2024, saved over 495,000 kg of CO2, 9,000 of gigajoule and 18,000,000 liters of water.

By using stone paper, there are 67% lower CO2 emissions compared to pulp paper.

By replacing 1000Kg pulp paper you save 949 Kg of CO2 emissions, which is the equivalent of a car ride from Amsterdam to Jerusalem.

By replacing 1000Kg pulp paper you save 85% of energy (the average use of energy needed for one household for a period of 550 days).

No water is used in the production of stone paper. By replacing 1000Kg pulp paper with stone paper you can save 2770l of water (worth 142 days of showering for one person)

By replacing 1000Kg pulp paper you save 18 trees, the equivalent of the oxygen consumption of 40 people for a whole year.

The books can be recycled, although no recollection scheme is available yet.

No chemicals are used during production

For every notebook sold, Moyu plants a tree. A part of the money goes to the seedling, but the biggest part goes to an honest wage for the employees in Kenya.
