What does this brand sell?
Lamazuna was the first company in France to start talking about zero waste lifestyles, and the first to get PETA Cruelty-Free certified! They are a pioneer in designing slow cosmetics, and have a wide range of solid personal care products. They explain their process of research and development on their website, which has led to the creation of more than 50 products. Aside from buying solid bars, you can also upcycle toothbrush heads with Lamazuna and buy head refills. They have collected over 30,000 toothbrush heads, and are still thinking of what best to use this waste for to upcycle into a new product.
“To offer innovative products that are safe for health and the environment and, at the same time, allow you to make great savings!”

Ingredients are sourced as locally as possible
They try to manufacture as locally as possible, and they are moving towards 100% French production. They are still working on realising this. Most products are made in France though, which they will inform you about on each product’s page.
Solid shampoo bar (equivalent to 250ml) = EUR 9.90
Solid body cream (equivalent to 500ml) = EUR 6.90
Solid toothpaste (120 tablets) = EUR 9.90
They aim to source and manufacture as locally as possible, reducing CO2 emissions for transport. For each product, it will tell you if it’s made in France or not, and they give an explanation of the environmental impact including some of their decision making in terms of using organic ingredients or not.
They compensate for their carbon emissions generated during transportation and delivery.
In general, producing solid bars reduces carbon emissions as unnecessary water is not needing to be transported (regular shampoo contains >90% water).
The soaps they create use cold saponification, which does not require any energy in its manufacturing process.
Less water is needed for the production of the solid bars. For example, regular toothpastes contain 60-80% water.

By choosing for solid bars instead of those packaged in plastic bottles, you help avoid plastic waste. They have many products that last longer and create less waste than the industry standard, such as a bio-sourced bioplastic ear bud which does not need replacement.
All ingredients are non-toxic, free of parabens and sulphates. Dyes are vegan and natural.
