What does this brand sell?
Komrads was founded in 2015, in Slovakia. Thinking about the future of their children, Mark and Greet found inspiration and motivation and decided to contribute to the change of the fashion industry, which is known as one of the most polluting industries out there. The purpose of Komrads was to create a sustainable product while showing respect to the planet we live on: sneakers built entirely from re-used and recycled materials.
“Our planet’s resourced are limited. This irreversible fact drives us to create full-circle, vegan footwear & apparel and encourage the many people to become #KOMRADSOFTHEFUTURE

Komrads shoes are made of different materials such as 100% recycled rubber and cotton, reducing this way the amount of waste that goes into landfills.
Apple products produce a significant amount of waste every year. This waste is converted into an ecological alternative to leather, resulting in products containing at least 50% recycled apple fiber.
The 100% recycled rubber is colored with biological paint. There is no presence of toxic material in the making of these sneakers.
No socially unacceptable working conditions. European working conditions are followed: no child labour, no low wages, and good health and safety conditions.
