All raw materials as well as the manufacturers and other partners are local, and almost all materials come from suppliers in Spain, Portugal, Italy and some from the rest of Europe. The materials get transported by road to reduce the carbon footprint. Moreover, the materials used such as organic cotton and linen have reduced carbon footprints compared to standard industry materials.

The leather used is either vegan or certified by the Leather Working Group, for which the water consumption is reduced by 50%. Similarly, products made from linen have a reduced ecological impact by less need for water.

Feners works with a business model that avoids waste and extra stock at the end of the season. They use a pre-order model which results in almost zero stock at the end of each season.

When plant-based materials are not possible, they try to use recycled plastics. Moreover, the linen used in their materials is biodegradable.

No toxic materials are used in their manufacturers, such as chrome, glue, and other chemicals.

Feners is a female-owned company built around craftsmanship and quality, and they only work with Spanish manufacturers that are regulated, keep a safe and clean environment for their team and don’t use harmful materials. Their working schedules are strictly regulated and employees get paid a fair salary.
