What does this brand sell?
Using ecoegg’s Laundry Eggs reduces single-use plastic by replacing both laundry detergent and conditioner in one product. Through using pellets in the egg, which lift away dirt and can be refilled, no more detergent and fabric softener in plastic bottles need to be bought. They have also invented the Dryer Egg to reduce drying time, by separating your laundry to promote air circulation as well as softening your clothes. Ecoegg was originally founded in 2008 to help those with sensitive skin, but has since developed in a company trying to find innovative solutions that take care for the environment.
We are passionate about producing innovative products that are free from harmful chemicals, help to reduce single use plastic and kind to your skin… and pocket.

Since 2010, they have saved over 102 million plastic bottles from being used. They estimated that by using the ecoegg Laundry Egg, you can save up to 40 single-use plastic bottles on an annual basis (based on one wash a day). In addition, all packaging for the eggs is recyclable (FSC certified cardboard) and the egg case is recyclable (plastic category 5). The pellets themselves, although consisting of biodegradable ingredients, have not been tested yet if they affect wildlife and plants. Therefore, the pellets are recommended to throw away with general waste. The fragrance sticks have to be disposed of in general waste as well. Some packaging of other products, like the detox tables, are wrapped in LDPE (plastic) film, which is recyclable. The bamboo towels are biodegredable.
The ink used on the cardboard packaging is vegetable-based, containing no petrochemicals. It does not contain NO enzymes, chlorine bleaches, phosphates, parabens, SLS/SLES or palm oil.
They have a process of due diligence with all of their suppliers and do not work with unethical suppliers.
