Naked tampons are cruelty-free, but the long term safety of CBD tampons was tested one time on animals and humans. This is required by law as CBD is a new substance. Everything else in the supply chain and manufacturing is cruelty-free.
The tampons aren’t recyclable once they’re soiled with menstural blood, but they are biodegradable in standard landfill conditions and compostable after use, breaking down within 12 weeks. The packaging consists of bio-based sugarcane applicators, water-soluble wrappers, an organic cotton pouch, recycled and recyclable paper mailers and bio inks.
Tampons are unbleached and each batch is lab-tested to ensure there’s no residue of chemicals, heavy metals or GMO. They are free from rayon, chlorine bleach, dioxin, phthalates and fragrances.
Your Daye does not only make period products to alleviate period pain and making the industry more sustainable, but invests in medical research. This includes overcoming the historical gender biases in medical research, improving female health, and making sure their findings and others’ is translated into something that can be understood by everyone outside the medical community.
Daye has an elaborate blog called Vitals with a lot of information on sustainability, CBD and health.
